which new worlds lack hairs ?all mine have hairs im alergic too.
I know old world don’t have hairs but some aren’t affordable or too rare to find.
Preferably stuff under a high price point.
Although you can suggest expensive Ts just as a wishlist bases. :angelic:
a few I might get again lost to bad molts.
currently have zero old worlds .
I had Kbb once and obt , and pokies are getting too hard to buy or too expensive. Aparently the totalitarians don’t allow p ornata an a few others , one of my favorites to be shipped ?

AFAIK the Australian export species like Phlogius/Selencosmia crassipes aren't particularly expensive, although not the nicest looking

They make up for it in character. Awesome spiders.

D. diamantinensis (NW but pricey right now), avics (they technically have urticating setae, but it's sparse and super ineffective... maybe someone somewhere has had issues with them, but I haven't heard of it), Psalmopoeus, maybe Tapinauchenius (?). OW spiders that are generally cheap would be H maculata, S calceatum, P murinus, H gigas. I can send you a link to a dealer in your area who has some cool OW slings for $20, typically priced a bit higher (C sp hati hati, P arboricola, C dyscolus blue).

So you’re saying a pinktoe genus T might still be safe due to in effect hairs ? So long as I use gloves 🧤 dealing with the enclosure maintenance?
I still may just go old world/psalm or no hair genus it seems, not worth risk. Could be while til I can get anything . I can’t remember if pinktoe hair’s bothering me or not I had them for years .
Psalmopoeus pulcher off the top of my head.
never had one of those very cool looking T.

Psalmopoeus or Tapinauchenius species are good choices. Tapinauchenius aren't typically what I would consider "cheap/ inexpensive" but still affordable depending on the species.

How on earth did you find one so cheap? Everything is super expensive on the old T sites I used to use .” Lp are like $35 ea my favorite species but I can’t buy more because the hairs .

Ornothoctoninae sp Hati Hati is cheap and pretty. Being an old world it lacks urticating setae

Dude back in February when you made this thread I sent you a link to a dealer who lives in your state and sells six species of old world slings for under $35 each. C. sp Hati Hati, C. dyscolus blue, and P. arboricola are $20 each!

Yeah it’s just a hard sell my parents hate my Ts , I need a job which I haven’t found yet. Parents won’t let me use any of my current money on spiders . Although I’m aloud to buy feeders . I’m down to just 12 Ts but they take up a large amount of space. I really can’t fit a lot more just a few .
they need sustained food sources roaches , I'm working on building an orange roach colony I’ll seee if it works or not.
Thanks for the links that’s a godsend the prices swifts and others have gotten so high I can’t afford .
Now I can’t find legit roach dealers I tried one I got 20-30 less roaches then I paid for . Plus 20-30 deaths within first week but they didn’t honor their site guarantees just lied and said they overcount as a blank statement if you complain. I can prob only pm which bad site this was .
I gotta establish feeders so far and my dubia refuse to breeed.

I'm appalled no one has yet suggested specifically Psalmopeus victori or irminia. Absolutely beautiful species!
