I would recommend only feeding it mice occasionally. Tarantulas in the wild eat insects as their primary source of food with the occasional vertebrate. The problem with feeding them mice is they are high in calcium and a high calcium diet causes the exoskeleton to get too hard which will cause bad molts. I have been dealing with this problem with a T. Blondi that I bought. The previous owner only fed mice and I have had two bad molts since. The last one I thought I was gonna lose her.I plan on feeding mine mice want to watch them hunt! I can find a place where I live in Canada that sells mice for food.
