And it's not that I don't enjoy watching all of my tarantulas but seeing this gorgeous girl feed is just unreal.

I bloody wish. I suppose it won't be long until I'll know though. 2" won't be many moults off.
All jokes aside, it does look pretty female already. If the dorsal patterns continue to darken as it grows then you can be sure. If they begin to fade..male.

Either way you end up with a beautiful spider. Males are stunning too, and they mature huge. This guy is every bit of 7''.

Stalker is right, you will know definitively in a molt of two....but that dark ventral band on the carapace is a clear female trait. I would bet a pile of beans on toast on it being female.:astonished:
