I love how the I. mira pummels the crap out of the cricket before grabbing it. Like the poor cricket stole the Ts lunch money in a previous moult, and now that it hit a growth spurt it's time for retribution.

She's very wary and seems to like to grab the crickets head area. She's absolutely phenomenonal.

My little sling has my favourite takedowns -- the way it has constructed its dirt canopy means you can see a ripple of movement along the surface as it stalks prey. It's like the creatures from the movie Tremors with the shockwave along the ground as they move underneath.

Absolutely wonderful species, and a must have in any collection that includes OW Ts, imo.

That sounds absolutely brilliant. They are an absolutely marvellous tarantula. I'm luck or have been lucky in that my lass has hunted on the surface outside her burrow on a couple of occasions.

Adult female Chilobrachys fimbriatus.

Not the best pics but I didn't want to annoy the beautiful gal.

Rehoused my young female juvenile T.blondi so took the opportunity to grab some pics. After her recent moult she actually looks like a T.blondi now.
