Joe - Thank you for that picture! I was just thinking that my B. vagans slings are ready to tackle larger prey, since one of them attacked my tongs.. that picture proves it!

Love the pictures of the Ts upside down attacking prey! hahaha

Ahh yeah, I can't do that lol I'm too much of a softy.

I tried throwing one in there with my tong-attacking B. vagans sling.. and he was interested, but the roach was just too much. I'll have to see if I can dig out a smaller one for him to tackle, since I can't harm the roaches lol

I didn't like doing it either, at first.

I still don't like doing it, but I just try to forget about it. Either way, the roach dies.

I tried it with a mealworm once...

I ended up just drowning it, because I couldn't crush its head

I'm one of those "Don't squish that bug! Here, let me take it outside!" types lol

Joe--do you mean you don't like it because the sling is in danger, or because it takes longer for the sling to overpower and kill the roach?

And personally, I can't even hold the roaches. They're too soft and creep me out.
It's not that they are roaches, they're just so much squishier than say a cricket or a mealworm. I hate the soft-bodied bugs for some reason. Ugh.
Wax worms were even worse though. >_<

Tommy's pic reminds me of a couple I saw last night, making out rather severely against one of the walls in the subway station. I prefer to see this invertebrate version ;). (PDA. Bleh.)

When scrolling through this thread, I have a continuous loop of "HIIIII-YAH!"s playing in my head. Adorable little assasins, all of 'em :p
