I recently got a question about the size difference in 3i and 4i Babycurus gigas. Well, here's the pictures to show the answer. They seem to grow at pretty good clip compared to other scorpions.

And, side-by-side:

Hey TCO....Thanks for uploading those pictures!!!:clap::clap:
Did you get them as 3rd instar or younger??? Mine are currently only 2nd instar. But they're still bigger than a B.Jacksoni 3rd instar. :D

PoPpiLLs, hey thanks...you'll enjoy these. They'll be on their way tomorrow.

SixShot666, :D:D I bred them. So, technically I've had them since instar 1. :D:D

Wow, quite the jump in size, isn't it. Thanks for posting that TCO. I'll keep you on my radar if you plan to breed more in the future. :)

I've seen big jumps in size between 2i and 3i Rhopalurus junceus. I've also seen a huge difference in 2i from the same species but different moms, and even the same mom but different broods. Food avaiablility plays a huge role in invert growth. For instance, I raised a C gracilis male up from 1i. I fed it very well. It's now much bigger than any of the WC adults I started with. It's twice as big as any of the WC males.

Very nice pictures

Lets breed and feed some giant scorpions and tarantulas! I want a ten inch B. smithi....

Seriously though, good info. Ever experience any adverse effects from "overfeeding"?
