Baby Jumping Spiders Help!

I caught a jumping spider a couple months ago. I filled a 32 oz deli cup with a mesh lid (that I had for fruit fly cultures to feed my dart frogs) with potting soal and random rocks sticks and leaves from my yard. The spider hid for and extended period of time and I was afraid for it. I did leave some fruits and also a house fly in there and eventually those disappeared so I knew I hadn’t killed it. Then this morning there were spiderlings all over the cup. Google says to leave them in there and to eventually separate them. It is hard to wrangle them when I opened the lid to put fruit flies in to feed them and a house fly for mom. Do I need to build a second driveway cup for mom? What do I do next? Have I made any crucial mistakes that need to be addressed thank you!

What species?

I don’t know for sure what the species is as the spider spun it’s den and hid in it for weeks shortly after capture but I think it is a daring jumping spider. It is black with white spots but it’s chelicera was hidden.

If you're in Indiana, it is probably Phiddipus audax. A telltale sign of them is they have a smiley face marking on their abdomen. Habronattus sp. can look similar, but only audax has the striking smiley face pattern.

I just got home from work and can finally get a good look at my spider! I think it has a smiley face thought mouth of it look more like a heart.

You could cut a hole in the side to use for feeding until you're read to separate them. Use a wad of cotton instead of tape to cover it afterwards or else they can get stuck and die.
