This one is still small so it's definitely going to develop more. The minute I saw it, I was sold! Crazy how much spots it has at such a small size.

Didn't break my bank too
do you get your specimens localy or at expos? Just curious to see who i should look up. You can pm places, i might have heard of them, but i doubt it.

More photos lol
The little guy has also started developing white and red spots. Just 9 grams so still so much more development to happen.

Very tiny still, hard to see in the photos, unfortunately
You have to breed this one, all the dals I've seen don't have nearly that many spots anymore. I don't know what happened to the CR genetics re the breeders, but they screwed up.

I noticed that too! You barely see any great dalmatians today. Even those that are labeled as "super dalmatians" don't have lots of spots. Even ones that have ridiculous price tags aren't even that nice.

Look at the development, even more spots have appeared. It even has red spots inside of bigger black spots which is what the market is now calling a "bullseye spot" . Still a very young gecko too, still fits perched on a single finger.

Nice! There was a breeder years ago that produced one with purple spots if I remember correctly.

I saw on MM there is “ink spot” I assume their spots are larger, and some type of super dal

Technically, the larger spots on my little guy are "ink spots" and the large grey-ish ones are called "oil spots" lol and he's also a super dal. Lots of technicalities and terms with these guys.

I have thought only a super dal could have those types of spots?

This one qualifies as a super dal. If we go by breeders' standards which is by the spot count, that is.

Some say minimum of 50 spots to qualify as a super dal and while others say 100. As adults.

Which if we go by those standards, this baby with tons of development left for it, will easily qualify as a super dal.

No- can a dal have those 2 types of spots too? That’s the Q.🤣 Or only super dals do?

Oh okay lol

I think only super dals can have those type of spots. At least, from what I've seen. Normal dals that I've seen only have plain small spots and never the ink spots.
