So my smithi just died i think, found it in a death curl in its 1/4 full water dish.
I watered it like 4 days ago and the fact that it was sitting in a small amount of water that is wasn't dehydration.
Any ideas what happened? im super bummed my first loss.

Still flipped 20210415_222146.jpg em over and put some water on its mouth just in case, but i doubt.

Were there any recent changes?
Nope no changes, I just kept the water dish full and left it alone. idk it just never settled and or webbed or anything.

Althoe I will note that I can tell the abdomen is a little bit bigger despite not feeding? I will also note that in the 8 mouths iv had this guy I never once saw poop in any of my cleaning or watering. besides that I have no idea what could have happened.

Well, that's a bummer. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, not all of our animals make it to adulthood. The only thing you can do is try again with another and hope for better results.
