i have a 3" B smithi and have now had it three weeks and it still hasnt eatenyet. it has layed a thin web down but no black abdomen. could it possibly be in pre molt, water is available and the temp is a steady 79-80 degrees. any ideas welcome.

Maybe its lazy like my Avic. Try killing a 3/4 - full size cricket and drop it in front of her.

Well then,, "you can lead a horse to water but that doesn't mean he"ll drink" When he is ready he will eat. Does his abdoman seem too small? As long as everything else is good, water, temp, humidity, hide, he probably is in pre molt

My old B smithi sometimes went a really long time without eating. It was very strange but it isnt anything I would get my panties in a twist about.

=D =D =D Jus tryed feeding him a dead crix and then left it only to cum back to find him eating it happily.

still waitin for my g rossa to molt after nearly 4 weeks in pre molt

an my pinktoe aint eaten for two weeks this again i think may be pre molt, but we will see.

fortunally my trinidad chevs are eating happily, a 20-25mm crix per day they are 1 month old in two days an look great.

my adult male G. rosea went several months without eating when he was in pre-ultimate-moult.......i guess its is nothing to worry about.....

Jacen wears panties.....!!!!!!!!:} ;P
