Mine always kicks hairs at me every time I open the cage, isn’t this species supposed to be extremely docile? Does anyone else’s B.homarii do this same thing, and is this normal?
Nope. At the risk of sounding condescending, no particular species is 'supposed' to have any single attitude. My juvie B. hamorii (note the correct spelling, by the way) acts the exact same way. Meanwhile, my G. porteri is easily in my top five most defensive specimens. Individual spiders have individual temperaments.... isn’t this species supposed to be extremely docile?
