I just purchased around 150 sub adult and adult dubias with a bunch of nymphs and juvies for 500pesos which is around 11usd. When it arrived around more than 10 were dead. Some females have a soft sac in their back, are they giving birth? And how come there are egg sacs? I thought they give live birth?

Also, i used a 12x8x6 container with an egg tray cut in half and stacked vertically. Do i need a bigger container?

If those are soft, yellowish, water balloon like sacs; then no, they aren't ootheca and the female will probably die soon. If they are brown, long and hard, then its the ootheca.

Yes, not oothecas. What's the reason for that?
