David is talking about Gene's picture Sheri.

Good selections all of them, as far as colubrid's go :p

I am more of a python fan. And yes, herps are quite addictive. I find T's to be more addictive though, as they don't require nearly as complicated setups. (I don't have to fuss with extra heating, and specialized humidty requirments for most of them, plus I'm not stripping down the cages and scrubbing them like mad once a month).

Snakes are much easier to take care of then lizards though.

You might want to keep in mind that the ball may drive you nuts when it goes off feed in the wintertime as it goes up to breeding age. Ball pythons are about as cute and as calm as snakes go, species wise. You may get the snappy individual every now and than..and make sure it's captive bred.

Well, that explains it. I never noticed that Gene posted a pic.

Why would it drive me crazy that it goes off-feed?

Good point. I didn't think about the fact that some inverts will fast for months.

Apparently the whole "not eating thing" really bugs some people.

Well.

The Bull is an interesting story.

And one of my gigantic stupidity that never ceases to haunt me.

Apparently... he likes putting on sticky mouse traps and escaping.

After tearing the house apart I went to the basement and lost hope after seeing all the places I would have to examine... so I checked around the most obvious places, and this is how I found him.

It took a long time in the bath in hot water to free him, but he did eat yesterday for the first time and seems his normal hostile self.

Except I guess there is still a little adhesive on his skin as he was stuck to the top of the screen lid the other day. I just had to mist him to get him down.

The new terrarium arrives Tuesday.

Lesson learned, hand slapped, not to be repeated. :D

LOL! I had a baby Jungle Carpet do the same thing to me a few years ago! :8o After freeing her I coated her with some Mineral Oil. This enabled her to move around freely without the excess glue all over her sticking to everything ;) and induced a shed that took the whole mess and washed it away.

She's doing great and I don't permit ANY traps in my house anymore!

Good luck! I'm sure that Bull will be fine.
