dna_Splice,

Here're some pics to show you how this Avic newbie is fumbling, too. As I mentioned previously, when I was looking for something upright to put in her first vial, I used a longitudinal half of a film canister standing upright (I use smaller sections of these as hides for terrestrial slings). I was expecting her to build her web inside the canister...

Instead she likes to be on the top of the canister and on its back between the canister & the vial wall. So I usually tear her web a bit when I take the lid off..:8o

However--it doesn't seem to bother her too much yet! So I guess I can leave her in this till I get some of those cubes and outfit them.

Anyway, the pics--right after she grabbed a cricket:

Looking forward to getting cubes!

PS: I think my post count has been frozen too. Anybody else notice this??

hey guys, i have a question
i droped a tiny cricket in my versi's bottle
and she ddnt catch him for the pas to day's
b/c the stupid cricket took shelter under the leaf that
my T webbed up to make her home.

so today i dropped one IN the web and she caught it w/ quickness haha

but i was wondering if it is ok to leave that other cricket in there?
and to take it out, i might have to break her webbing?
i feel bad for doing it haha.. but is that ok to do?

thanks.

I know this is from total left-field, but why is your post count only staying at 1?

Congrats on the new sling! I love the versis, they are such awesome little guys. Mine will chase fruit flies down which is great fun to watch, they have webbed up quite a bit, and they are awesome to look at. Their molts are even pretty, which is fun too! {D

Here are a couple pictures of my slings in their setups. I have them inverted so that they can build the webs at the top and I don't have to disturb them to do anything.

Those look almost exactly like the setups I have for my arboreal slings.
