Hey everyone, I'd just like a quick clarification on the differences in coloration between Avicularia sp. amazonica, A. sp. amazonas purple and A. sp. peru purple. I know the amazonica is a bit bluer that the amazonas purple, is that the only difference? How about the peru purple?

What are their main differences? Do they differ have other physical differences (size, 'hairy-ness', etc.) as well? How about personality differences? And if possible, I'd really appreciate pictures that point out them out. Thanks.

EDIT: By the way, before people say it, I HAVE looked up pictures in the Avicularia picture thread, the Avicularia genus folder in the Arachnoboards Gallery, on google, and a couple other US and European sites.

I feel it's a bit crazy that we have to say things like this from fear of being flamed. People should either answer questions or <edit>. Some people really should be ashamed of themselves for making putting things like this a requirement.

Hmm.. I understand where your coming from, I do feel like people can be a bit harsh sometimes. At the same time, I do understand how the members here get annoyed with the same question popping up all the time, or with some posters expecting information to be hand-fed to them.. That would annoy me too.

Having said that, I did not add the additional information because I thought it was 'a requirement'. It was more so that I will get better, more specific replies, and not just the same stuff that I have already researched on my own. I guess I was just editing my post to make it more 'efficient' in asking for help. :)

Anyone have any ideas? I've researched more about it and found out more differences between A. sp. Amazonica and A. sp. Amazonas Purple. How about A. sp. Peru Purple?

As of right now I dont think many people know.i go.off of whatsbsold to me or if I raised it from a sling. I had an a.geroldi a.amazonica a.avicularia and a.metallica all as slings easy to tell apart then once they matured looked almost identical except very minor color differencea thatvmainly based off of when light hit them and the abdominal hairs and patterns visible or not. The avicularia genus right now in my.opinion is one cluster <edit> that no one can really tell what they have. Like with the same species I just listed I posted to have them sexed and had people telling me my species label was wrong. So if you find out a clear way to tell a difference let me know because I just dont see it with some of the avicularia species.

Thanks for your reply. I guess I'll just have to get them all and see for myself.. It will probably take a lot of work but I hope the genus Avicularia gets fixed soon. I am not too familiar with the what's going on other than there are thoughts that some species are probably just regional variations and some species might belong to another genus, etc. :?
