How much would you subtract from a molt to make it realistic?

I’d say .5” is fair.

I thought DLS varies quite a bit due to posture and that's why the Europeans do carapace (body length) measurements?

True on posture- that’s why you put them on a rack to stretch their legs like the Dark Ages

I've got a friend who's m6 is really close to six if not hitting it already. Not sure when he purchased it but I for sure know he has had it the past five years.

Solid 5.75" if not 6" stretched out.

I'm 6' too, with the right shoes.
