I had a rare chance to acquire one of these and now I have one on the way and have found little in the way of info or experiences with them on here. Just wondering if anyone has any decent experience with them as slings and/or adults?

I would say it is the same as caring for any Avic. Just make sure to have proper height in the enclosure and a dish for water and humidity if too small spray a couple times a week.

These hail from Brazil, the area around "Santarem". Daily temps there are between 30-34°C, nights around 20-24°C, humidity between 70-85% - all of this depending on season! You can keep them around 75-80F pretty much hence. Short time higher temps won't kill them, but watch for good ventilation and enough access to water, their natural habitat is quite heavy on rainforest as far as I'm aware.

Good luck!

PS: They look quite similiar to A. avic and A. azuraklaasi ;)

I own two of these species. A really great Avic. Care for them like any other Avic. Mine are a bit more defensive than my other avics.

I received it today. Just shy of an inch. Really cool. A bit teleporty but cool. I think it actually tried biting me but didn't feel anything. Even did a suicide jump but its ok. I own other Avics, I just wanted to hear others personal experiences.

Once it gets older, it "should" act pretty much like A. avicularia or A. metallica. Really calm and very easy to deal with.

Even better! A nice chill oversized Avic! Can't wait. Someone has already even called dibs on breeding if it turns out male. Will be a good long while till then though.

Telling you that would be pointless as she only had five slings and sold me one. She has the other four and they are same size as mine. Sucks you got two males. Hate it when that happens.
