I can see what your going for but personally i like watering and feeding my T's. I don't handle so feeding and water my T's is my fun time

Its looks good i have to refill the water dishes every couple days because of them drying out too I have been using a dropper for the small dishes . They have something called repti-drip i used with an anole a few years back like a wick system i assume

Going to chime in on this;

The leak, believe it or not, is good. When a tarantula burrows in the wild the surface is often dry, the lower levels damper and moisture, this gives the tarantula a gradiant to select the humidity they want and enjoy. I would always recomend new and various ways of making a wter gradiant in your tank as it helps with critical things like molting! though the usual way is a pvc pipe not a watering dish ;)

In regard to prey items drowning, you can take aquirum screening and place it along the bottom of the "bowl" and have it hang out, this gives the prey items something to grip to so they can crawl out.
