fantastic scorpions Nick!

loving the U.elongatus especially ;)

whats up with Liocheles identification? is it particularly hard?

I had some "L.waigiensis" from Australia a while back, but never attempted to confirm the ID! perhaps it was way off!

Liocheles are an absolute mess at the moment!
Some paperwork definitely needs to be done on them, for now we just call liocheles species by their locale to not mess up the breeding

Most of them are collected grom

Great species! One has to love the Lychas!

From what areas in Australia were these collected? I know it's a broad question, and you can PM me if you want.

hehe, well that'd be a long list
i can name most of their distribution … qld = queensland, nsw = new south wales, vic = victoria, wa = western australia, sa = south australia, nt = northern territory

i.melanodactylus - qld/nsw coast
that liocheles species was found off an island near north qld
u.manicatus - rocky areas in VIC, SA, NSW and south qld
that first cf novaeholliandae (two toned) was from south WA
orange lychas marmerous was from south east WA - subspecies found there, hasn't been released yet
lychas buchari - that was found on the WA/SA border, but they range all through south east WA, SA and a bit into NSW
that white urodacus was found in central WA, have no idea what it is
urodacus armatus is a very widespread species, that one was found in NSW but they're found in all arid habitats in every state (limited to NW VIC and SW QLD)
that lychas murmurous was found in NW VIC, but they are a large species complex that are found throughout australia
urodacus elongatus are found along the flinders ranges area in SA
c.squama is found in more damp areas along VIC, NSW, SA and WA… with other species inter-twined within
i.vescus is found in arid WA, SA and NSW and southern parts of NT
that chocolate coloured cf.novaehollandae was found in WA
red liocheles is from central qld
urodacus macrurus are found around central qld and more NE
that liocheles was from townsville
that lychas spinatus was from central qld
that liocheles was from herbeton
u.yaschenkoi is found in arid habitats along WA, SA, south NT, NSW, and SW QLD
the liocheles karschii was from north qld
