Beware those that say 2" inch up Ts are "80% female" too haha. They have that 20% as an out. Saying here's a chance for it to be female so they can sell it off quickly. Got suckered into one

Buy a confirmed female from a reputable seller, don't be shy to ask for the picture of the molt and avoid dealing people using dummy FB accounts as its hard to get back at them if case there is an issue afterwards. 3 inches is a good size that you will enjoy for a long time since females are long-lived.

Is that the case or do we only hear complaining about the times that somebody gets a male?
Unscrupulous sellers may attempt to pass off juvenile males as unsexed, but the perception of how frequently this occurs may be exaggerated somewhat by:
  • the fact that people are more likely to take the time to write negative reviews or complaints than positive reviews or praise (if you're happy about something, you often don't have the same desire to talk about it)
  • confirmation bias (we are more likely to notice and remember things that confirm our existing beliefs)

Most of the unsexed tarantulas I've bought were slings, but the four juveniles or adults I bought unsexed were all female. (Two of these I knew or suspected to be female when buying even though the seller made no representation; I had to wait for molts on the other two.)

Right, ive seen all kinds of people complain they bought unsexed juvies that turned out male...yet you never hear about peoples experiences that are opposite....and i know for a fact that a lot of people on this forum have bought unsexed juvies that turned out female.

Negative experiences are always the most vocal.

Theres an old adage in business...people tell an average of 3 people about positive experiences, and an average of 20 about the bad.
