At what point does a feeding become a cruel "bug fight"?

I'm fortunate to be about 3 hrs away from NOLA. My home away from home. Nonetheless, we have easy access to crawfish in MS. Matter of fact there's probably about 5 or 6 places within a 20 mile radius of my house where you can either eat there or buy sacks to take home and boil
Oh, and you mentioned po boys. Off the beaten path in NOLA is a hole in the wall called Crabby Jack's. Hands down the best, most overstuffed po boys you'll ever eat. And, for what you get, it's not that pricey

counterquestion:
Is there such a thing as not enough fight/hunt?

personally i think not.

crushing pretty much every feeder before dropping them in makes feeding a breeze.

no escaping, burrowing or hiding prey, no premolt-worries, injured prey is less threatening to smaller spiders, but all that means there is pretty much no hunt at all.

basically just drop it where you know the spider will either grab it right away or encounter it later that day in terms of arboreals.
