Well it looks as if she is doing more and more as the day goes by! Here is one I just took.

I do believe she will make it by tonight. Well, I really, really hope. Everything seems to match, so we'll see!

So, does that mean you can't try him with the other girl? heh

To live the life of a male T.

Something about "sucking the life out of them" there's a joke in there, somewhere.

Edit: Dangit, didn't see the second page of the thread. GL

I've never seen one of my C.c do anything like this. I hope all goes well.

I am enjoying the way you're letting us follow the whole thing with pics.:)

woke up this morning to this.

This is cith. crawshayi is some don't know. It will be left with the female until day 35 or I may just leave it with her the whole time.
From the looks of things, ITS HUGE.

Nice job and good luck with it!As you know already I'm sure, the hardest part about producing this species isnt gettin them to lay but keeping them from eating the eggsacks or gettin the dam things to hatch!Have u considered pulling the female and leaving the hammock in there?

Well so far shes been a real good mom. Last summer she produced a sac for me as well. It was left in there with her for 15 days until I knowticed mites and flipped. So I tried incubating them myself, but they turned black.

The tank is in the quietest place in the house, so nothing should disturb her. She has spent more than 55 hours making this, so I am praying she holds onto it. If conditions were this good for this species to actually produce a sac, it will stay the same until I see slings coming out. I know right now you're thinking you are crazy, but I would rather leave this with her this time until she eats it, or until I get to see hundreds of little ones on and around mom, and if all goes well. What a great report it would be when feeding time comes.

I saw the title and your name and was hoping for some crawshayi spam. I was not dissapointed. :D Congratulations again! Here's hoping that everything goes well from here on out.

I lost my little one this past winter and miss her terribly. Definately need another. :D

Excellent thread! I really appreciated your experiment with the old molt. Do you think this makes the odds better for a succesful mating? Some males don't seem to have the guts to try to mate for some unknown reason, this might change that?

Also, great shots and awesome spider!

Anyone know what the average number of offspring this species gets per sac?
