Are crickets safe to feed a Phidippus regius jumping spider?

Not planning on making it a permanent food source, just until my blue bottle flies are mature. Will they make the spider sick? I'm not worried about the cricket being aggressive and the crickets are from Petsmart.

I know mantids will get super sick from them, I know they're very different animals, but they're what I keep the most. And I know tarantulas can too.

Crickets aren’t toxic to arachnids - is there an exception? There usually is in nature.

However I also know there’s a lot of garbage on the net about people attributing a T getting sick from eating a cricket when the owner has no real proof from the cases I’ve read.

That's not true. Crickets aren't harmful to mantids otherwise I'd have never had my mantids for longer than a week, nor would a successful mantid breeder here in the UK have a business.

Crickets are fine for your jumper and have the bonus of you being able to gut load the crickets.

Thanks for clearing that up, I keep ghosts and have also been wondering if my ghosts molting 2-3 times in 2 months was fast? I think I got them at L2 so the first molt happened day 2 of me owning them.

also I feed them whenever they're abdomens start to deflate so every 5 days.

Young mantids grow really quick. Especially if they're kept on the warmer side.

No clue, I was told that crickets might munch on the mantids and that they carry diseases but don't remember well this was months ago.

Crickets will eat anything- true

But you must feed the proper sized item to prevent this
