are ant baits safe ?

I usually have an ant infestation by the time July rolls around . Can I use combat ant baits in rooms other than where my tarantulas are ? I just do not want to deal with ants anywhere near my babies .

I always have ant problems this time of the year too. I have used the ant baits with no problems with them. I don't use them in my invert room though, and would not put them any where close to any of your enclosures. Another thing you may want to try is to spray the OUTSIDE of the house with an insecticide. If you spray it well, it should help with keeping the ants out of the house. If you do spray the outside of the house make sure you wash really well and change you clothes before doing anything with your inverts. Also if you find loose crickets you must not feed them to your pets because they may have come in contact with the pesticides.
