genious_gr, it's a bit off topic but why do you light up your tanks with those bright spotlights? Arachnids, pedes etc are mostly nocturnal and they don't like sunbathing! Use other heating units than those spotlights please~

They all have a hiding place to go if they choose to. These lights are only used for a small amount of time and only when the room is too cold. I find the red heating lamps to be too expensive and to last too little to bother using them. Besides I think many hobbyists use such spotlights.

I don't have any in the bedroom, just the spider room (my office, where this computer is) and the living room. However, late at night, I hear alot of tapping....which makes sense, as I have 4 mature males in here right now. What does NOT make sense though, is the tapping is coming from the desktop, where I have NO mature males :)
I have 2 sub adult pokie males, and some assorted juvie avics....
So, either I"m hard of hearing, or somebody likes to make alot of noise for whatever reason :)
Also, one of the pokies (P formosa) like to run laps around the container, and it gets fairly loud in here!

:D I keep all but my adult female Blondi in my room purely because she makes the loudest tapping(more like thumping!!!) against the sides of the tank and her burrow. I can handle the crickets because i feed different spiders each week so I don't have MASS ammounts of crickets in my room at the same time. That way its just kinda like you are out camping all year long, kinda peaceful!

I keep mine in our bedroom. Amanda (The Red Queen) is coming over on Sunday, we are doing picture day, so I will get some pics and post them. My fuzzy critters are on our dresser. It stays pretty warm in there, but if it gets to chilly, then I move them into our family room (for a change of scenery) ;)

I keep mine in the living room so I can see them at my leisure. We always keep the bdr door closed so it gets pretty cold in there too. I'd like to have them in the bdr, but I don't want to have to go sit in my bdr just to be able to watch them.
We use a "spot light" of sorts too for our Ts. We will turn it on when the sun comes up to simulate daytime and off when the sun goes down. I personally have noticed a HUGE change in my Ts behavior since starting to do this. They molt more regularly, and conduct their "business" at night when they normally would rather than at scattered times throughout the day. They have also gotten into more of a structured "active" and "non active" routine as well. Granted, our rosie is WEIRD. She will actually sun herself from time to time. Her temps aren't low so it's pretty safe to say that she's not freezing, but it is pretty funny seeing her all stretched out on top of her hide with her fat butt soaking up the light.

Ditto just about everyone else. We have 30 in our bedroom and so far no problems...however it could be that the constant scratch, scratch, dig, dig of one very noisy guinea pig masks all the T noise. (yep, two people, 30 T's, and a loud guinea pig all in a 10x12 room!!).

Oh, I keep mine in my room. My mom does not want any of them outside the room. Here are a couple pictures of how they are housed:

In this picture, I have all of my 'equipment' for transfering, cleaning, feeding, etc... right under the larger aquarium that is currently housing 3 avic's:

Mine are kept in my room, aside from my main millitank and my snake. I hear the occassional odd noise, often my scorpion redecorating. Mostly, it's the crickets. A thousand curses upon the crickets!

The only animal I (/we) have in the bedroom is the Big Eyed Tree Frog. The occasional calling noise but we are only really in there at night. The T's are on my desk in the computer room, as well as my two snakes, and my gf's siberian hamsters. The 6 Red Eyes are out in the living room, as well as the tank we are putting together for the 4 dart frogs. Then there is the 30 gallon tropical fish tank, soon to be adding a 55 gallon. Oh and two cats who get to go in every room haha.

While sitting at my desk I dont hear any noise coming out of them. Sometimes my seemanni will climb out of his burrow and sit there so I can see him. The rest are always visible at this point.

I keep ALL my T's in my bedroom for right now, in a 3 rack shelving unit. Never have any problems, I am moving into a bigger apartment soon and will have an ENTIRE room for all my Ts and snakes. I never think they're too noisey the only noise is the dang female crickets with wings.

We used to keep all of our invertebrates in the bedroom, but we finally ran out of space. We have converted the second bedroom into the animal room As for noise the only beasts that kept us awake at night were the crickets and the hemit crabs.
