I would keep my tarantulas in my bedroom if I had shelves in there or places high enough that my grandchildren couldn't get to them. Its nice and warm and more humid. The best place I have is in the kitchen though which is where they all are. I'm running out of room though. My ferrets are in my bedroom and are more noisy then the tarantulas would be. I hear crickets outside
the house here at night when they are out so I doubt they would bother me. I guess your tarantulas are much larger then mine Aviculariinea?. How do they make much noise? Do other people's tarantulas make noises as they move around there enclosures?

I keep mine in my bedroom with mostly no issues.....they do make a little bit of noise every once in a while though.....i think it is my big rose hair doing jumping jacks or something.....i can't quite figure out how a spider in a kritter keeper can make the noise.....it is usually a little bump in the night....

My T blondi is in the bedroom with me and I hear nothing, but she may as well be a stuffed toy. However, I ma running out of space in the living room and will soon be putting in a shelving unit in my bedroom to house more soon. I do hear them moving in the livingroom occasionally, and my dog hasn't quite figured out that we have the T's, so he will growl from time to time when he hears them moving. He'll get up and check them out and then reutrn to the bedroom when he is convinced all is well.

I keep my Ts in my room and have never heard a noise from them. Of course I probably wouldn't know. I keep crix in my room also. During the summer all you hear all noght long is crickets so I can sleep with a little chirping.

I keep all but a couple of mine in the bedroom - and they never bother me t'all.

I also have roaches in there - those guys are noisy. Every time one get's flipped upside down, it's like it's having a spazz attack and beating it's wings against everything in the cage. They chirp (kinda) too.

Hey mom,

When we're out of the house, how about moving them into the spare bedroom?

genious_gr, it's a bit off topic but why do you light up your tanks with those bright spotlights? Arachnids, pedes etc are mostly nocturnal and they don't like sunbathing! Use other heating units than those spotlights please~

I keep all of my 75 or so T's in my bedroom with me. They never bother me at all but crickets really suck. I can't wait till my roach colony really gets going. When a batch of crickets starts to mature I usually just toss out as many males as I can find to cut back on the noise.

I keep all of my T's in my room. They seem to be the quietest pets iv ever had. The only I hear are my 2 frogs croaking, the crickets chirping, my hissers fighting or my cat (sassy) clawing at my door to get in. Wow so thats why i am always tired....

Noisy as hell at night, especially if you have a mating pair in together.

I get them from a local exotics store called stingers! If you are interested in them send me a pm. I just shipped some out to another board member. They are really nice, and stackable. I can also get the petry dishes for spiderlings. Just drill a few holes and your set!:D
