LoL, you're like the Viper of crabs with the data link, sorry I missed it there. I'm going to read up on these guys..thier set-up looks like it SOUNDS peaceful. I've been thinking of having something with a water feature in my den for a while; this might be what the Dr ordered here, I have to read into these guys.
Thanks a bunch, man! I appreciate it
HAHA I take that as a big compliemnt "The Viper of Crabs"

And okay sounds good, please come back and post any questions you may have!
But from the sounds of it, it does sound like this may be just what the doctor ordered!

LoL, well I been following that link, read up, & watched some videos.. pretty sure I want to dive in, here. I've got a couple 40gal terrarium tanks, & also a 55gal aquarium, but it's narrow; seeing as a water feature is a huge part of the allure, what would YOU suggest?

I'll build it up first, obviously, but I'm wondering if, since they're such good climbers, if they'd be content wit a "cliffside" landmass (deep enough to burrow), with water as the base, or if it should be more land, & maybe incorporate some flowing streams. Watching a couple of those videos with that guy in their natural habitat makes me think the latter, but the German guy with his tank set-ups makes me think the former would be just as good ..what do you tanks look like, if you don't mind me asking?

so it should be about 75% land to 25% water / up to 80/20-70/30 but not more than that.

Yes they really do enjoy the ability to climb around, burrow, but also need some good depth to the water at least enough to molt in succesfully. Those are really the base requirments and then its just designing as you choose.

If i ever get to live by the ocean, i might try a crab. But for now, i can only envy those who have them.

nothing i love more then walking after the tide goes out and finding crabs and other living surprises.

Yeah, man...these things are badass.
Let me get building here, I'll touch back. My need to hold my hand a bit; I've LITERALLY only kept hermits, ya know, longer than to prepare for dinner...
Ill be happy to help and be sure to check out my build thread I most recently had up here, it goes through how I went for this more indepth build.
