Thread revival!

OK so this thread answered 99% of the questions I have and maybe 100% but I just want to confirm.

1) I got a coconut fiber brick to redo two of my T's cages and the Aphonopelma schmidti is one of them, should I use that or not? I saw where peat might work but sand would be better.... should I just go for sand or just use the coconut fiber? Maybe a mix of some course San Diego dirt with the fiber?

2) Also I see where I should only feed once a month, I've heard that they are VERY picky eaters and can be frustrating for n00bs, (I'm a n00b BTW and it is frustrating) is this info still correct, just once a month? or should I offer once a week and remove if not eaten?

3) Lastly it sounds like they will burrow, I have a shallow semi wide and long cage for this one, not really good for burrow depth I don't think but I do have a full round hollow log for it that I plan on putting at a 45 deg angle into the new substrate when I redo it, would that be OK? or should I put into a deeper tank so it can burrow?

Thank you in advance!

1) Just use the coco fiber. No sand. No need for it.

2) Attempt once a week. Remove if not eaten by the next day.

3) That should be fine. Just make sure that there's enough substrate in the enclosure you provide that a) a fall won't be an issue and b) if it wants to attempt a small burrow, it can.
