hey

That's a really cool pic. I just have the black color morph. I belive there's a blue color morph also, but i'm not certain. Any ways good luck with your new femme.

The black ones look blue right after molting sometimes. They don't stay blue though.

I noticed that with mine. The coloration reminded me of my H. lividum. Kind of a grey/blue. Really pretty looking.

There actually is something that is being claimed to be blue color morph, though. I've seen it listed as "new Aphonopelma species, may be a color morph of A. seemanni but should be kept 'pure' to preserve the color". Probably more pet trade hogwash, but it is out there.

But still no one that has or has seen at any adult stage an A. Seemani with this reddish brown color?
Bearskin - My 4" seemani looks almost exactly like yours. I thought I had some sort of freak, or had it misidentified at first because it wasn't near as dark as all of the pictures I had seen of the species.....Using the underbelly color, MizM helped me identify it however.

I would say it's A. seemanni. The closer it gets to a molt the color fades from almost black after a molt to a brown before it's next molt.
