Ok I went into a pet store today to get some wax worms and was looking at the few T's they had, One was listed as a true zebra. All of the C.R. Zebras I have seen have been dark brown or black this one was a reddish tan? Was just wondering if it could have been a Aphonopelma burica Chestnut Zebra or are there some A. seemani of that color? Anyway just wondering because I have only seen the Aphonopelma burica for sale a couple of times and has always gone for a much higher price, so if it is a A. Burica I should jump on it as it was only $25. Right now Invertapet has one the size I saw about 4" for $65 and also this one at the shop was a female and real docile as I flipped her over to check. Thanks all, Greg

Does it look anything like this? IF it does then it's a Eupalastrus campestratus. A very sweet and docile T.

Thanks for all the replies, I know it is not a PZB, It is either a odd colored A. seemani or a A. Burica IMO, Was just wondering if anyone out there has or has heard of A Seemani's being that chestnut reddish brown color?

I don't think that's an A. burica.... The spider pictured on Rick Wests site has kinda hairy legs, while your spider doesn't...

But still no one that has or has seen at any adult stage an A. Seemani with this reddish brown color? By the way she is I would say 4 1/2"-5". If she is a A. Seemani that is cool I just have never seen one of this color and that is why I am wondering if it may be something else

Rosehaired1979 is it reddish brown? or dark brown, black like the rest I have seen as you say you think it is just an A seemani, Why?

Some of them can go really brown like the one in the pic before a molt. Keep in mind there are different color phases of them and look at the bald shiny patches on the legs obviously needing a molt something fierce.

Thank You Phil, That is what I was asking. So you would say it is just an A. Seemani than or wait until it molts out and see what color it is. Does anyone here have an A. Burica, Just wondering what they look like as the picture on Rick West site is not the best

Looks to be one but a molt would help to be certain. Even so I'm pretty sure it is. All of mine however are the black phase not the brown so It's a tad different looking to my eye. I have however seen zebras that looked just like yours. Something else that will help is if you flip it over as they have a lighter colored belly and are fairly distinct in that feature among the species that share similar markings.

Ok here is a picture of its underbellie, I guess while I am at it I will ask if I was correct in sexing this one as a female? So what do you think Phil? A. Seemani

Thanks Phil, It is just hard to believe that these 2 T's with such different coloring are the same species, Anyway here is a pretty cool picture of the two color morphs, Unfortunatly they are both female, Oh well time to look for a male :)
