Aphonopelma chalcodes 3.5" female enclosure

Would a small breeder box with dimensions of 8 inches long x 8 inches wide x 5.5 inches high be too small to house a 3.5" Aphonopelma chalcodes?

That is my standard for mid-sized terrestrial Ts.

Your proposed enclosure is larger, so it should be okay.

I am currently keeping a slightly smaller Grammostola pulchra in that enclosure, and it works fine.

I would consider upgrading once the spider no longer has 2x its legspan in any horizontal direction.

14.5 inches long x 8.5 inches wide x 10 inches high.

That's more than it needs at 3.5", but it's doable as long as you put in enough substrate to prevent a long fall.

Ended up with a 3" female. The enclosure is more than perfect for it.
