i would definitely recommend re-thinking the relationship then.

Find yourself somebody who will appreciate or at the very least, respect your hobby. i happen to be very fortunate that my Signifigant other and i got into this Hobby together, so not only is she OK with it, but she even encourages it, and the only issues she has is reminding me sometimes that we dont always have space for the many species that catch my eye (like the MF T. Blondi i almost took in from my friend, until she reminded me, that we literally only have maybe space for 1-2 more 32oz deli's and god knows i have no idea where i would put a full sized Blondi enclosure, atleast until i get another Rack/shelf system going.)

so, if she won't appreciate or respect your hobby, and is going to take the step further and try to force you to stop or sell/get rid of any of them, i would definitely consider moving on at that point.

With that said I managed to get rid of a couple of former 'gals' as well in the past but the 'spooders', even if involved, were innocents.

Epic was Ornella (Ornella is a name similar, so similar to ornata for not joking about), supposed to be the "woman of my life".

Well one day I've returned from a Chinatown feast (Milano one) where btw I was the only non Chinese guest in completely freaking heavy pre-molt (completely drunk, with the perfume of sexy Chinese "fun ladies" still on me etc) and she started to freak out, screaming, throwing things etc so I've said: "... ornata (instead of Ornella), please!".

Saying, pretty calmer: "Chris... I'm not one of your freaking spiders you can keep into a cage and enjoy with..." Ive never heard of her.

A thing worth of note is that I've never owned a genus Poecilotheria let alone a P.ornata in my entire life

Because you didn't hear the one when, circa '92 or '93 (need to check, now) on the beach of Hammamet (Tunisia) after an epic 'cream and fruit' dessert dish, I literally returned from the beach to the Aziza Hotel in full 'Montezuma's Curse' Diarrhea running like not even Pietro Mennea, literally losing .... everywhere and leaving that even on the walls. And my bro that (lol, dastard) managed to guess everything, arrived first so he could close the door of our room on purpose in front of me for enjoy the lolz.

Anyway a couple of days later had my revenge on him

This happened in another era: no Internet, camera/s everywhere etc otherwise I would become a YT star still today for that, ih ih ih.

Worth of note were those freaking elevators: since I/we were on the beach (after the lunch) I miscalculated a slightly detail... Germans, Dutch etc doesn't eat when Italian loves to eat, but after, so all the freaking elevators were occupied up/down up/down, noise and 'golden arrows' everywhere like not even in Las Vegas because they were reaching the restaurant/s, so I took the normal stairs route delivering .... everywhere

Anyways, im with everyone else. If she cant deal, boot her. Feels like im gonna have to have a talk with my girlfriend soon, as well.

We had this understanding that whatever it was that I got up to in there was my business. She wasn't scared or disgusted - just not interested. No, the arachnids were not the issue...

Honestly, if you can potentially talk to her and maybe educate her on it in a way that satisfies her negative feelings-- give that a shot first. Divorce was a great concept because it meant that people didn't have to be stuck in dead end marriages. But now it's given birth to a society where when things get difficult with someone we care about, we don't think anything of just moving on to the next. Always try, if you really care about that person. If you don't then there's no point in trying anyway.

If she still is at odds with you then move on. You're young. You'll find someone who accepts your hobbies or might even -share- in them. How exciting would that be? It's always better to be around people with the same passions as yourself.

They're in the corner in the other room so she doesn't have to see them and not like she just goes looking for them.

I mean she's always buying makeup herself so lol
