Found a bunch of these slings.

Sorry for the tiny pic, I had to crop it - they're so small I could barely get them in focus.

Steatoda sp

Not sure which... :?

They are completely harmless and a great "pest control". {D

One of the more experienced members may be able to give an better ID. I have tons of them too, and you are right-they are hard to photograph without an excellent camera. Good luck! S.

After a bit of researching I'm pretty sure that's what they are. I found an adult today and it looks to be a S Grossa.

these are the two adults I found with the slings:
1st adult

2nd adult

Yes, S.grossa, but not mature yet. The others look like Parasteatoda tepidariorum.

Hmm, the sling pictured was found with the last two spiders. There were quite a few slings, I took the lid off of an old trash can and they went everywhere.

Th obvious S. Grossa's I'm finding are in my basement.. and my brother's house (his arachnophobic self called me going "I have black widows!" wanting me to come save him.. I think he about died when I let it crawl on me)
