I am looking into keeping a few scorpions, but I am a little limited in space. What are C gracilis like? Are they aggressive? Do they make a good scorpion for a person who taken care of a vinegaroon and mantids? What things are specific to that species of scorpion?

Are young instars hard to take care of? How long is there lifespan?

Easy to keep, but they are buthids, so caution should be shown since a sting would not be fun. Not particularly aggressive, though they can be defensive from time to time. Care is simple, they really just need high humidity, a vertical surface to climb/molt on and food every couple weeks. Young instars are pretty hardy, so you don't have to worry too much about them. They just need to be fed a little more often and are a bit more sensitive to low humidity. They live for a couple years.
