Beautiful T's, crazy how much they jump in size molt-to-molt.

It really is! One of the reasons why I limit my collection to large and fast growing NW terrestrials, I don't have much patience and these guys grow pretty quickly.

Pamphobeteus sp. ‘magna’ molted the other day:

Grew a little over half an inch or so from its previous molt.

Love the coloration on it, starting to show some pinks.

You know what, I’ll just make this a growth log for all my species from now on.

Brachypelma vagans
Second time molting in my care, was around 1” when I got it, jumped to 1.5”+ and now it should be around 2”

Couldn’t get a proper image of the sp. ‘manabi’ molt, but it was around 2”. I’m guessing it’s now 3” or so.

Pamphobeteus cf. antinous ‘A’ is now a confirmed male. Was almost 3” and now it’s pushing 4” I think

All the molts were too battered up to stretch out as I was away for a few days, but here are some photos of freshly molted T’s and some ones that I caught out and about to make up for it:

Man these are so awesome, I want to get myself some now!
Pamphobeteus are my favorite genus and I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a fast growing, ravenous eater and colorful tarantula (males and some females, but I still find the females gorgeous).

One of the Pamphobeteus sp. ‘mascara’ should be molting soon, within the next two days hopefully

Kind of annoyed, this little girl/guy was already missing a pedipalp and a leg when they came to me and after a molt both were regenerated, however, it lost another leg in the process .-. Anyways, it looks beautiful so can’t complain too much, it was pretty interesting to see it use one of its legs as a pedipalp before though.

Some collages I made showing before and after photos for some of my tarantulas, and some random photos mixed in at the end

Things are slowing down a bit molt wise, but we finally have another spider that molted:

Pamphobeteus sp. ‘mascara’ C which has been renamed to Pamphobeteus sp. ‘mascara’ ♂ B. A wee bit smaller than the first male and not showing any pink coloration surprisingly

In comparison to my other male ‘mascara’ that’s around the same size (A on the left, B on the right):

General updates:

Sold some of my tarantulas:
Brachypelma kahlenbergi
Brachypelma vagans

Pamphobeteus cf. antinous "Big Black" 'A'
Phormictopus cancerides 'B'
Phormictopus sp. 'Blue' (still have four left)
Phormictopus sp. 'South Hispaniola' (still have three left)

The other Phormictopus cancerides 'A' died during a molt. I was out of town for the past week and it had began molting while I was away. When I returned I thought it was still in the process of molting, but it actually was already hardened up. I did what I could, dropped some water over it's mouthparts but it was unresponsive. Kind of crappy as I took pride in nothing like this happening to the tarantulas that I've owned, but I ended up losing an animal that I wanted to see grow.

On a brighter note, my gf is getting me some tarantulas, I thought I knew what they were but she switched them up. She just told me to get four enclosures ready so I did, hopefully at least one's a Pamphobeteus!
