Another "Wolf Sac" Question

So, someone on the boards caught a wolf spider that looked a lot like the one shown in this thread. She dropped a sac, and later died, and I wound up getting the sac sent to me.

So, two questions: can a wolf sac survive without mom? I'm aware that the females carry the sac and later the slings until they disperse.

Second, if the above is possible, how should I be caring for the sac? I assume slings that survive would require desert-like conditions, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for any input. :)

So I gently opened up the sac today and saw at least three first-instar slings walking around, and a bunch of eggs that looked shrivelled but not dark. I'm assuming those ones aren't viable.

I guess the answer to question 1 is "yes." :)

Before I let this thread completely die, I'd like to mention that I now have 15ish cute little slings running around. :D
