I'm very pleased to announce that our 12th Annual Conference will be held in Tucson, Arizona, July 22nd to 25th. We've secured an awesome new hotel and venue that is family friendly with great rates. All of the details are available here:

Less than 3 weeks to go to our conference. {D

We've had lots of registrations for the full conference but there is always room for more. You can register in person at the conference if you prefer.

Our Spider Mall will be open to the public on July 24th from 9 am to 5 pm. Admission is free but donations to help defray our costs will be gladly accepted.

Soo...anyone going to the ATS Conference in Tucson this month?

Just wondering if anyone I "know" will be there. :)

Hi Kathy,

Do you know me? I'll be there. Been looking forward to it since I left the last one. What's the main thing that you want to experience?

Bummer Cody! I hope the unemployment doesn't last long. Thanks for the kudos on the peppers. You need some let me know. I'll let you know when the powders are ready.:D

Hi Vasiliy, wouldn't be the same without the two of you there. Looking forward to seeing you guys again.

Same here as the money's kinda funny. One of these years I'll make it to one or more of these functions, though.

How Many people are usually attending year-after-year ? Their is a hike involved, right ? Is the Hotel *nice*, or do we crash @ Kathy's :? :D - Jason
Many of the faces are familiar but there are many first timers as well each year.

We're staying at the Hilton El Conquistador this year but you can stay where ever you want and still attend the conference. Here's a link to the updated schedule

http://www.atshq.org/forum/showthread.php?p=187490#post187490

In addition to the scheduled "official" field trips many people also organize their own mini trips during free time.

I'd say we're averaging well over 100 people the past couple of years. We've also been going all out for folks too. Not just a hotel but a resort hotel. All the amenities, pool, jacuzzi, great food, golf course right smack on the edge of Tucson. You don't have to go far to explore the desert on your own.

We do some serious negotiating with the hotel and the room rate is much closer to what you would pay for a Super 8 than a resort hotel. Plus the ATS is also covering a couple of meals to help defray the cost to folks.

We have field trips scheduled every day and they're led by folks who have experience doing it. When you get a chance check out the link and see who some of the guest presenters are, got some really interesting topics of discussion scheduled.

This will be my fourth conference and I can honestly say they've gotten better each year. If you've never attended an ATS one or an ARACHNOCON hosted by the folks here at arachnoboards or the latest ACON NORTH and you're an invert hobbyist then you haven't fully lived yet.;)

Hope to see you there.

Is there a seperate fee for just the Spider Mall on Friday? I see a $30/person for the one day registration. Also see Spider Mall free on Saturday.
