I picked this little fella 6 months ago at Repticon and it was labeled as "Tanzanian Giant Tailless Whipscorpion." Around 2.5" DLS on regular legs and over 6" including its death tappers. So, what are we looking at here D. diadema, D. variegatus??

I'm guessing diadema? Almost certainly not variegatus, apparently that's basically never around. However, medius has been more commonly imported recently; it just doesn't look like medius to me.

I would say it looks like D. diadema at first glance; D. variegatus is almost never in the US hobby. @aphono, what do you think?

Thanks,
