ALMOST got bit... but I didnt...

I almost got bit while feeding my Juv A.Seemani today.... I have an egg shaped container, I droped the cricket in..... As normal it waited till the cricket got close enough...... But it wasnt close... The Cricket tried to climb out, I put my hand infront of the cricket... WHAM! I have the cricket on the other side of the table, and a hungry T... I grabed the cricket, my T got it... And I am not bit... Just thought id share......

I had a similar experience with an A. seemanni once. I tapped it on the butt with my finger and it wheeled around, hooked its palps around my finger and was about a split-second away from diving in both fangs first when it stopped, paused for a moment, and then pulled back its palps and stepped back, as if it realised at the last moment that I was neither food nor a predator.
