Figured I'd start my own picture thread so I don't have to be constantly sharing links to my blog and stuff. LOL

Scratch that, just had a stunning new adult A.tesselata pop up in my enclosure!

I spoke to one of the blattodea experts and unfortunately he's seen it before and suspects it's not genetic, therefore the trait can't be isolated. :( It seems color morphs like this can occur when specimens are kept at cooler temps.

I started out with two of these, but sadly one larva died, leaving me with one. My remaining larva has developed a couple black spots on its body, but it seems to have constructed a pupal chamber now so I'm hoping it pupates fine despite its less than perfect condition.

Wow, this guy is gorgeous! And great collection, I love your photos :)
