Hi Steven,

Yes, these photos were taken with an olympus stereo micorscope. I bought a cheap c-mount adapter which means i can attach my camera to one of the eyepeices.

Nice photos of the web btw, 90 cm is huge! The web that i took my spider from was truly spectacular, about 50cm in diameter and in height (it was more of a 'tent' style web rather than a sheet) It was a shame to remove the spider, but i was really keen to ID it properly. I just wish i had taken some photos of it. She has now laid a huge egg sac, so i willl let them hatch out and release them in the spring to make up from removing the mother.
