I have loved spiders since I was a boy and have had a couple of Chilean rose, however, this is my first time keeping jumping spiders. I have a male regal and a female, but my female keeps turning down my males advances.

If they are wild caught, the female has probably mated already. They tend to show no interest once they are gravid. Post some pics?

Congrats on Grammostola rosea and Phidippus regius Pair.
Pics of them in Enclosure would be awesome to see.
Best Wishes and Much Sucess your way.

She might also not “like” him 🤣 yet.

Did you get both at the same time?
Hello, I got them around the same time, and they have been doing well so far. One day, I thought that I would see what they made of each other, so I placed them next to each other but with a clear screen between them, not much happened.
Then, after I fed them both, I tried again with no screen, Theo paid an interest straight away and started doing his dance towards her, and when he got close to her, she did a false strike at him and then ran away.

Jumper females are super picky your lucky she didn't eat him tbh. It sounds to me as suggested she's either already gravid or she's not interested in him 🤷🏻‍♀️. It happens .

Hello, and yes, I don't think that romance is on the cards for these two as the last thing I want is for one of them to be an expensive meal.

No doesn'tlook like it unfortunately, just enjoy being a spoody parent 😉, jumpers are so fun to watch n interact with they are worth the having all day long. Everyone should have at least 1 jumper in their collection lol. It should be law 😆.
