Good luck, your T looks way worse than my P regalis though. Why does this happen in captivity? Any Mods, or experts know?

I had this happen a few times, and am still shocked why.:bruised::bruised:
I am not a mod or an expert.. But I can assure you this probably happens just as much in the wild.

I have amputated three. I want to amputate the fourth as well but it is significantly close to the front left pedipalp (which I think I can save), and I also feel like she's been through a lot tonight, so I will continue in the morning. So far the only things stuck that need removed are the two pedipalps, the carapace (should I even attempt to free this one?) and the left two book lungs. I'll keep you guys updated. Here is a picture of where she is now.
You could soften the exo on the carapace with some water and see if it will slough off. As for her now, I'd suggest making sure those wounds clot and then put her in a small container lined with paper towel and has some air holes in it. You can then offer her a water dish and maybe maimed/prekilled prey if she perks up in a few days depending on what appendages she has left.

Hey all, I really appreciate all the advice and support from you guys. Unfortunately she did not make it through the night. I did not see any fluid coming from the legs but there was some coming from underneath her, so at some point I must have torn or punctured something.. Thanks again for all the quick replies and advice, hopefully next time now that I have some practice I'll be able to save any future Ts who get stuck like that. I got a P. regalis that's 7"+ that needs to molt that I'll be watching like a hawk

It's unfortunate but it's a learning experience, if you are concerned about your regalis, you can put an extra water dish in to bump up the humidity a little to make sure it has a better chance to molt successfully. I think if this was caught right when she was stuck, she could have been helped but that's not your fault, you can't control when you're out of town/your spider molts (mine molt when I'm away quite often). Hopefully the thread itself will provide the vital info others may need if they have a spider stuck in a molt.
