Adult Female Mexican Fireleg Value?

Hey All,
Just working on some trades... Was wondering if anyone could tell me how much they think a healthy adult female Mexican Fireleg Tarantula would be worth in Canadian funds. Just want to make sure the trade is even.

Do you know how Old it is ? If not, it could be old and not worth much. If it was fairly young I would pay $80. Value is a relative abstraction.

If the female is CB and doing well, I would say $150-200.

No offense. John Hoke is a great guy with wonderfully cared for critters, but
you cannot use his prices as a true guideline. Not that all his prices are out
of line by any means! Just that in another thread, I had wondered why some
of the prices on certain females of various species were priced so highly. The
response was that there are some that they don't really intend to sell. They
just list them for "show" and if someone just happens to be willing to pay
those prices, then they'd go ahead and sell it.

My guess is around $200 to $250 though, considering B. smithi's run about
the same. I believe the $80 was way too low, unless maybe it's an
unsexed critter around 2.5 to 3 inches.

And that's in American dollars. Canadian dollars would be even higher than
that!

ya, I dunno about 500+ but I'd say that one would go for 300-400 canadian, and like blkCat said "If u can find me a adult female for less than $100, LET ME KNOW!!!" tru say to that, who ever said anything about a brachy female under 100 never baught a female brachy before...most of them are in that range, some are more, some are less, consider this, the more common brachypelma, which is smithi, costs 300 canadian for a female...and thats the more common one, so, boehmei, would be a bit more than that...

I just found an old email from Todd Gearhart. He was selling a 5 inch
mature female for $275 US, which seems about right to me. Todd isn't
the most inexpensive dealer, but his prices are pretty realistic and fair
overall.

Ya seems about right to me too, thats about 340 Canadian...or so...
