Put your face right into a Ephebopus.sp of a fair size and think injury would happen ;P.

If your eye doesn't get completely better, please make sure you go to the doctor again. This link is to a thread about a kid who got Rosehair urt. hairs in his eye. Someone copied the article into the thread about 6 (?) posts down, and it is worth reading, to be aware of the mishaps that could lead to very serious situation.

Hopefully, it really is just a scratch, but I read in that article that a number of opthamologists simply didn't see the hairs and so assumed they weren't there.

So you are saying there a different types of urticating hairs? I didn't know this (I'm new to T's). Where can I find out more info about which species has which type?
Thanks

I'm doing much better now. I ended up taking today off work since my eye still wasn't wonderful this morning.

Other than going back to work tomorrow to a classroom full of hyper children who had a sub today (this is my first sick day in a year and a half, so the kids aren't used to me not being there), I'm doing fine. My hands and face have finally stopped itching, and my eye looks a LOT better.

Hey that's really good! Lets only hope that that is the end of it!

Are you going to tell your children about what happened? If yes, how old are they and how do you think they'd react?

Becca, that's great that you are feeling better. You certainly have a "war" story now for your adventures in keeping tarantulas.

May tomorrow be better after being eye-del today!
