ohh yea either way it is going to look real good! I was just wondering how often a sling this small will molt? It molted about 2 1/2 months ago...

How can you even be sure its Acanthoscurria from those pics? Most people can't even tell adult brocklehursti apart from genics, never mind the slings.

well your A genic has brownish legs but mine has more bluish white legs... hmm My first guess was Nhandu coloratovillosus but not sure realy

I would say A.brocklehursti because I have a sling around the same size and its looks similar ...also the white bands on the legs of A.brock are a bit thinner compared to an A.genic and my A.brock too has a bit of red hairs on the abdomen.

It could even be N.chromatus but I would say N.chromatus is more slender looking compared to an A.brock or A.genic.

last I checked that was the typical common name of N. coloratovillosus

talked to the guy at the petstore where i bought it n he said the A. Gen is what they have as a brazillian black and white. but then I was snooping around and all there vials with A. Gen slings are named black and white tarantula!? yet when I bought mine they had a bunch named "Brazillian" black and white....so confusing::

Do not rely on any info from the pet store. Proper ID cannot be gotten from a picture, even with an adult specimen.

It is true that it is hard to get a positive id from a picture, but I do believe that in this case it will be obvious whether the T belongs to Acanthoscurria or Nhandu.

I feel like that's Nhandi chromata based on the (still faint) leg stripes and the lighter color of the carapace. That said, the setae say Acanthoscurria to me.
