Abdomen shape

Hello, I'm not sure which forum to post this on, but is it normal that my H. Gigas juveniles have such an oblong abdomen? Just under 3'' DLS.
The ones I see posted here seem to be more spherical haha

Sorry for blurry pics, there's no way to photograph them directly bc they hide if I open the lid. Thanks!

I don't have this species, but the juveniles that I have all have slightly more oblong abdomens than adult specimens do. As their carapaces gain size as they grow, their abdomens appear less so and the carapce-to-abdomen ratio starts to look more balanced, I think. Also, as they get fatter and closer to a molt, they look rounder.

Oh, I see. Yeah, I wasn't sure if it was a bit hungry judging from the long abdomen

The really round ones you see are probably just fed more than they need to be. I would offer food to the one you showed a pic of, but it does not look unhealthy or skinny to me.
