So I feel like should know this but I don't so here it goes. I have been thinking about getting a Avicularia Versicolor but I keep seeing videos and picture of one that is like all blue and another that is like a maroon reddish color. I guess my question is, are there just like different color morphs or male/female thing, or just like different coloring as they get older? Any responses would be great.

Changing to adult coloration:

They are a metallic blue as babies/ juvies and will grow into the greens and reds and purples as adults :) they are an amazing species to raise from babies to adults!

As its been pointed out they change color as they grow. Rick west site has a pic of a "red variant" though, so there might be some color morphs out there. I've also heard of a large and small morph, if you search this site you might find more info on:cool:.

Later, Tom

I have two slings and the coloring is stunning! I wish they stayed blue through their whole lives though.
