Yes, I, Liquifin aka. Laxow announced retirement from full-time tarantula breeding. But I've been convinced by a lot of people to return. But I'm still and always have been around, so here's what I've been up too.

I've decided to reduce a lot of my collection that I wasn't using for breeding projects. So I can focus on re-working towards my Asian roots with Asian species. But I still have a collection to work with.

Also, I've been tasked with making enclosures for breeding tarantulas. So I'm making my own glass tarantula breeding rack system. This is so I can step away from plastic tubs and sterilite containers to glass enclosures. I'm making these for myself as of now and all of these are just prototypes, so there is mistakes to be made and learned from. I will make a video in the future, but for now I'm just here to say I haven't went anywhere. I've always have been and will always be here in this hobby. I've just stepped back into being a private tarantula breeder and supplier and not focus on it too much.

A lot of old and new faces here on the forums. Thanks.

Well I certainly commend your use of glass. Such a superior material to plastics & acrylic. I'm very much looking forward to following you along your learning curve..im sure the rewards will be well worth the challenges. Good luck!

Can’t wait to see pictures of whatever you’re building. Best of luck 🤞 in your collection and breeding or whatever you choose to do. how small did your collection get? Mine is almost gone most of them are old.
I’m down to around 15 Ts now. I’m sure you already bred enough Ts to help the hobby out greatly regardless of what you do now.

I've downsized about 70%-85% of my collection. I'd say maybe I'm at 15-ish species for now, but acquiring more later. But overall, I have about 100-ish total T.'s. Now I may not have a lot of species, but I have a lot of multiples for future breeding projects.

Quality over quantity.

that always makes a difference.

respecting your limits and goals too. After all, what matters is our own objectives. Doing things we want to, the way we want to.

getting results from that is worth gold.

Keep doing what you’re doing.

I am interested in the reason(s) for moving away from plastic and similar tubs and opting for glass. Is it for aesthetics/appearance? Or promotes health of spiders and/or ease of breeding? I hope you are happy with the final result.

Its for better management and control with enclosure sizes for breeding and also for conditioning females ideally.

I do have a thread of things that I do: https://arachnoboards.com/threads/liquifins-tarantula-breeders-diary.347929/

I also post videos on Youtube sometimes, but not always. Some projects I do keep to myself.

Was watching a YouTube video about DIY glass enclosures when the notification came about your post! Will def be interested in what you end up with. Best of luck with your enclosures and the spiders that live in them.
