Mozart, my H. carolensis decided to molt sometime in the last couple of days while my whole house was down with the crud. I hadn't checked my spiders for two days, and yesterday what do I see but a much larger, darker bright shiny wolf spider! I haven't gone after the exuvium yet - he's still a little skittish. As soon as he settles down I'll get picks. He looks really nice.

I'd starting to adhere to the motto, a watched spider never molts :)

I check them EVERY day usually, but have been sick so I ignored them. Maybe I should ignore them more to get my tarantula slings to molt!
